Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Advanced Sioux City Concrete, concretesiouxcity.com, hi@concretesiouxcity.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or hire Advanced Sioux City Concrete for work at your property. When we say "we" or "our crew," we mean Advanced Sioux City Concrete. When we say "you," we mean the person using the site or the homeowner or property owner who hires us.

By browsing the site, sending us a request, or signing an estimate or contract with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

If your signed estimate or contract says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.

What we do

Advanced Sioux City Concrete is a concrete contractor in Sioux City, IA, and we work in the cities around it. We pour and repair flatwork, which covers driveways, patios, sidewalks and garage floors, and we also build steps, retaining walls, footings and foundations, along with related work like concrete cutting. We are fully licensed and insured.

The service descriptions on our home page and the rest of this site are general information, not a promise of a particular result at your house. You can read more about who we are on our about page. The work we actually do for you is the work written in your estimate or contract.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure when we visit, so it reflects the size of the area, the slab thickness, how easy it is to reach, whether old concrete has to be torn out and hauled away, how much base work the ground needs and the finish you choose.

Some conditions only show up once the job is open, like soft or wet subgrade, which is the ground the slab sits on, or buried debris, roots or old footings. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and get your approval before we do the extra work.

An estimate is good for the length of time written on it. After that, material and fuel costs can change, so we may need to update the price before we schedule your job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellations

Start and finish dates are our best target, not a guarantee, because concrete work depends on weather, ground conditions and material deliveries. We won't pour in rain, on frozen ground or in conditions that would leave you with a weak slab, so we may move your date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials, set forms or started prep work, you'll owe for that work and those materials as your estimate or contract describes.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, to move vehicles and belongings out of the way, and to tell us about anything buried that public utility locating won't find, like sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, septic parts or drain tile. We aren't responsible for damage to buried items nobody told us about.

Fresh concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can take foot traffic or a vehicle. You agree to follow the curing instructions we give you and to keep people, pets and vehicles off the new concrete until we say it's ready, because marks and damage from early use aren't covered.

Some jobs need a permit. Unless your written agreement says we're handling it, you're responsible for checking with your city's permit office before work starts.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written in your estimate or contract. If nothing else is written, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause work and add reasonable collection costs where the law allows. We keep any rights the law gives contractors to secure payment for work done on a property.

Our guarantee and what concrete does on its own

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it.

Concrete is a natural material, and it moves and cracks. We cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a place to crack where you won't notice it, but we can't promise a slab will never crack. Hairline cracks, small color or texture differences, and surface wear from de-icing salt, freeze and thaw, heavy loads beyond what the slab was built for, or ground movement under areas we didn't prepare are normal and aren't defects.

Apart from our guarantee and any written warranty in your contract, our work and this website are provided as is, to the extent the law allows. Information on this site is general and isn't engineering advice for your property.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Advanced Sioux City Concrete isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost use of your driveway, lost income or damage caused by conditions we didn't create. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Heavy equipment and concrete trucks can leave marks on lawns, curbs and nearby surfaces. We work to keep this to a minimum, but normal wear from getting equipment to the work area isn't a defect.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us at (712) 202-0664 or reach us through our contact page first. Most issues get sorted out quickly once we're standing on the job together, and we'll make a good-faith effort to fix it.

If we can't resolve it that way, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or another court with authority over it.

Which state's law applies

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, and any court case will be heard in a state or federal court in Iowa.

For jobs in Nebraska or South Dakota, any rules of that state that must apply to work done there still apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page. The version posted when you sign your estimate or contract applies to that job.

If you have a question about anything here, please get in touch through our contact page.
